Laurie Mackie Loen is a visual artist in Victoria BC, Canada.  Her diverse range of work includes painting, printmaking, sculptural objects, installation, and photography.  Her work has been selected for juried shows and is held in private collections.  She has received corporate and government commissions.

Laurie was born and raised in the far north of Canada.  She has travelled extensively throughout Europe, North Africa, and Turkey, and lived in the Middle East.

Laurie’s Blog reveals her studio practice.  She also posts about travel, art, architecture, and archaeological sites.  These interests inform her work and give her a broad view of the international art scene.

Laurie’s senses of adventure, curiosity, and strong aesthetic principles have guided her through a colourful, challenging, and diverse working life.  She has steadfastly maintained a studio practice for over twenty years.
